I think the lack of 510 connection is the main reason that drives intentional consumers away from the previous Voopoo Drag Max Kit.  

Voopoo needs to make some tougher PnP coils to fully utilize their high-powered box mod devices like Argus GT and Drag Max. And that's what the customers fed back to Voopoo. So, another 'PnP system' is eagerly needed!

The brand-new TPP system still uses a tiny PnP type of mesh coils. Judging by the outside, it doesn't have too many differences from the PnP coils. But the inner mesh coil has been strengthened to withstand higher wattage and temperature. Therefore, users can go as higher as 80w, even higher than 80w, which the PnP Coil can not handle well. (0.15Ω (PnP-VM6) 60-80w). Coordinated with the upgraded GENE.FAN 2.0 chipset, flavor performance and vapor density are both guaranteed. 

And the removable pod cartridge sitting on the 510 adapter has a replaceable 510 drip tip. It will give some more matchy-matchy experience.

The new Voopoo Argus X Kit is an open version of the previous Voopoo Argus Pro Kit because it's capable of holding a single 18650 battery. Given that, the dimension of the new X version is much taller. Internal battery vape devices have a much higher integration level that can shrink down the whole size to a great extent. So, the only reason that could move you to the new X version is you prefer the flexibility of changing the battery at will. On the country, if you prefer the more compact-sized, the previous Pro version is still your best choice. But frankly, the difference in height won't make you feel any uncomfortable because the new X version is just 4mm taller than the Pro version.

Leave aside the height difference, these two kits are completely the same and identical. Judging by the three pictures above, it's hard for both you and me to figure out which one is the new Argus X if I didn't tag their designations.

From the aspect of the packaging, these two kits, Voopoo Argus X Kit and Voopoo Argus Pro Kit, still share the same one. Even the PnP coils in the package are the same as each other, a PnP-VM6 0.15ohm and a PnP-VM1 0.3ohm. And there's still a rubber sleeve in the package for users to protect the PnP pod sitting on the top.

Aegis Boost Plus

After the great success of the original Aegis Boost, Geekvape decided to make a single-18650 version in order to increase the overall standby time. Comparing to the original one, the Geekvape Aegis Boost Plus Kit has a bigger chassis structure to leave more space to accommodate a single 18650 external battery. But the output performance remains the same which is still from 5w to 40w. On the inside, the Aegis Boost Plus is equipped with Geekvape proprietary AS Max chipset to make the kit become a Temperature-Control capable device. Even both of these two Aegis Boost has an optional RDTA pod accessory, the Plus version will be more dominant in rebuildable vaping. 

Frankly, there are not too many differences between the original Boost and the subsequent Boost Plus. The only reason that could let you switch to the Aegis Boost Plus is you can fully dominate the device because the battery is replaceable, which means no matter how much battery life left, you can energize the device by installing another one 18650 battery.

As for accessories, both of them has a full slew of optional accessory including a 510 adapter and an RDTA pod. Due to the difference in the dimension, they're not cross-compatible with each other, but the replacement coils will do!

Aegis Boost Pro

The Geekvape Aegis Boost Pro Kit will be the most powerful Aegis Boost so far. Even it's still compatible with a single 18650 battery, the output performance has been improved to 100w which means it's a true Pod Mod System now. 

The overall form factors between the Pro version and the Plus version are extremely identical to each other, so let's just leave it aside.

On the inside, the Aegis Boost Pro is a 100w capable pod mod kit. But there's no explanation to show that the Pro version has a Temperature Control function. So all of us need to find it out when we have the device in our hands. 

Something New

The output configuration on the Aegis Boost Pro now is a Max, so the airflow and coil strength both need to be tougher. Thus, Geekvape has made a new pod cartridge for the Pro version which has a trio inlet airflow adjustment mechanism and a new coil series, the Geekvape P series mesh coils. 

Undoubtedly, these two new configurations will give full play to the Aegis Boost Pro Kit. But you can not use the new cartridge and coils on the Plus version because 40w maximum output will not able to give full play to those accessories. In another word, the Plus version is weaker to run those new accessories. But the pod cartridges and coils on the Plus version is perfectly workable on the new Pro version because it's so powerful.

But these two Aegis Boosts are able to use the same 510 adapter and RDTA pod cartridge. If you've already bought these two accessories for your Aegis Boost Plus, you can use them on the Pro version without any issue.

To make the 'new' Aegis Boost Pro a little bit different, Geekvape has made a suite of new UI for the pro version. Does that really matter? I'm assuming Geekvape fans will be glad to see that!

Although it's a box mod kit and called 'Drag Max', it's hard to find any similarities between this Drag and the previous Drag 2 or Drag Mini. Undeniably, the profile design of this Voopoo Drag Max Kit has adopted some well-received specifications from the sought after Voopoo Drag X Kit, such as the giant coverage of tactile leather section and the same metal chassis construction. As far as the profile design's concerned, I like it! 

But you may keep wondering why Voopoo made this kit when we already have Drag X Kit? I'm assuming that Voopoo must hear some positive feedback from their customers who are not satisfied with the power configurations of the Drag X and the standby time that a single 18650 battery provided. Someone would like to question that higher output will be pointless because the current PnP coils can't handle higher wattages! Without a doubt, it's true! Even you can switch to RBA mode to turn the wattage higher than what's suggested, the true circumstance is the best performance comes from the recommended power range which makes a perfect balance between the flavor performance and coil life. But you will have an impressively longer standby time that the dual 18650 battery provides. Therefore, you have to choose between the standby time and portabilities. To enjoy longer or to hold it better, it should depend on you. 

Drag Max Mod

Go on with what we talked about above, this Voopoo Drag Max Kit doesn't feel like traditional Drag Box Mods. Comparing to the original Drag or Drag 2, this Drag Max feels like a mixed version of Drag Mod and Drag Pod Mod, or rather, it feels like a max version of the Drag X. Maintaining the zinc alloy chassis construction and a leather grip section all around the side but adding dual 18650 battery inside, as far as it goes, it's the most powerful Drag device, and it's the most beautiful Drag device as well.

In my view, Voopoo has a great taste in color-matching and material combination on their products. I got this Drag Max in Vintage Brown(or Retro), the whole leather section does a great job in comfort delivery with its round side and fluffiness. And there's a real wooden panel on each side that adding more luxuries to the whole kit. But I think Voopoo also sticks to their very own traditions. I don't know if you have used the original Drag device or not, it's a truly great device up to that time and someone out there is still using that device up to now, but its sharp edges have driven so many people away. Fortunately, Voopoo has fixed that on the Voopoo Drag 2 Kit and Voopoo Drag Mini Kit. But they have brought that shortcoming back to the Voopoo Drag Max Kit. Honestly, it could be a subjective flaw because it will come out when holding this device like I'm used to doing. Put the leather section against your palm and wrap the device all around with your fingers, the edges will make you uncomfortable. If that's not the way you always do, it will not interrupt you at all. 

Back to the mod. If you're a user of Voopoo Drag X Kit, this Drag Max will not make you feel strange. The whole dimension has become bigger due to the installation of a dual 18650 battery. The power configuration has been extended to 177w due to a stronger power source.

There's one thing that drives so many Voopoo users crazy is the wattage limitation on the PnP coils. Out of safety and coil life concerns, this fixed regulation will make you experience the best vapor production and extend the coil lifespan. But that doesn't mean the PnP coils are not strong enough to handle higher wattages. I've been explaining this point in my previous Drag X Review and Argus GT Review which you can view them all down here(https://www.ave40.com/blog), the true story is the PnP coil is stronger than they look like. Take the PnP-VM6 0.15ohm coil as an example, its suggested wattage range is from 60w to 80w, but you can run it at 83w or 85w in RBA mode. But keep it in mind don't take a long puff on higher wattage like 80w or 85w before the coil is not fully saturated. If you don't want to experience burnt taste, please don't do that!

Airflow Mechanism

Here is my favorite part of the Voopoo Drag Max Kit, the Airflow Adjustment Mechanism. It's not a debut because Voopoo has implemented this design on the Voopoo Drag X Kit and has received a lot of praise. In fact, vape manufacturers have been trying hard to work out a perfect adjustment solution to airflow transportation and airflow velocity. And we can roughly split them into two types, bottom airflow, and top-to-bottom airflow. The first one could be the simplest and more efficient way to regulate airflow and it does a great job in improving airflow velocity and providing instant e-liquid atomization. But leakage issue also comes along with it. So some manufacturers make the second one, top-to-bottom airflow, which prevents the leaking problem from happening, but it has some kind of delay in e-liquid atomization because the airflow has to travel longer than the former. 

But is this one on Voopoo Drag Max Kit different from the other two? Technically, it's not! Judging by the actual airflow pathway, it belongs to bottom airflow. And you still need to rotate the knob inlaid on the Drag Max Mod to adjust the airflow abundance. The reason why I fancy it is it gives the most comfortable using experience. And the giant cutout on both sides does deliver impressively rich airflow. I was using this device while writing this review and I have to cut down airflow a little bit because it's just too airy!!!

PnP Pod

Although the Voopoo Drag Max Kit is a new device, the PnP pod and PnP coils are what we're all familiar with. And these two coils included in the package are PnP-VM5 0.2ohm Coil and PnP-VM6 0.15ohm Coil which were born together with Voopoo Argus GT Kit. So, I won't go further on these parts because you may know it better than me. But I can tell the actual performance of these sections.

I have talked about the coil strength above and explained how to make the coil exceed the limit. But I won't advise you to do that all the time because it will shrink down the lifespan of the coil itself. Undeniably, PnP coils are kind of unique and great because it's compatible with all Voopoo's new products. But its tiny size also tells you it's not able to compete with real sub-ohm coils like Freemax Fireluke 2 Tank or Smok TFV9 Tank which both have a giant OCC coil inside. 

As a matter of fact, PnP coils can provide great flavor. After all, I can't compare them to real sub-ohm tanks because they're not at the same level. As far as it goes, its flavor won't disappoint you at all. On the other hand, its inborn compatibility also makes you feel comfortable when switching through different Voopoo products. 

By this moment, I'm using the Drag Max with VM6 0.15ohm coil set up at 75w which is right in the suggested range. Then I can switch the pod to my Drag X Kit and keep vaping at 65w(the auto-matching wattage) and when I realized the battery is dead, I can still switch the pod to my Argus GT Kit with the 510 adapter installed already and go on vaping at 65w as well. The most valuable thing is these three devices are all using 18650 external batteries which you can charge them with just one external charger and energize them all at the same time. Do you like it? I do like it!

What's the difference between Drag Max and Argus GT?

So I'm assuming that you want to know what's the difference between Voopoo Drag Max Kit and Voopoo Argus GT Kit, and you also want to know which one you should buy? Now, let me tell you about my thoughts!

Essential Difference: One thing you should know is the Argus GT is a regular 510 thread box mod while the Drag Max is not. 

Power Configuration: Drag Max and Argus GT both are dual-18650 vaping systems. But the Drag Max can output a max power of 177w while Argus GT can offer 160w.

Dimension Difference: Although they have the same battery configuration, the Argus GT is more slender in hand than Drag Max. (Drag Max: 122 x 50.25 x 25mm/ Argus GT: 132.1 x 51.3 x 26.1mm)

Function Difference: Drag Max has two functions including Smart Mode and RBA Mode. While Argus GT has three functions including Smart Mode, RBA Mode, and TC Mode.

Chipset Difference:  Drag Max has the GENE.FAN 2.0 chip and Argus GT has the GENE.TT chip.

Similarities: All PnP Pods and All PnP Coils are compatible! And Voopoo RTA Pod is also workable on both!

Verdict

If you're a user of Drag X and crave for more power, you can choose the Argus GT directly. It's no need to switch to the Drag Max. While if you don't have any of Voopoo's products and want to experience the best, you can go straight to buy the Drag Max. And if you only want a regular box mod because you have your favorite sub-ohm tanks or RTAs already, you can choose the Argus GT without thinking anymore. But you need to look carefully at its specifications because it can only accept atomizers that have a diameter of less than 26mm.

All in all, the Voopoo Drag Max Kit is a kind of familiar but different products. I'm not sure if Voopoo will make a proprietary 510 adapter for it. If they do, the Drag Max will be a flawless product!

Without a doubt, when you have two choices, you have to think twice about the price point differences and comprehensive performance differences between them to figure out which one is much more worthy! A couple of days ago, I've tested the brand-new Smok Novo X Kit and released its review by then. To be honest, it's hard for me to recommend it to you because I can hardly find any great specs or value upgrades by comparing to the previous Smok Novo 2 Kit and I can not convince you to go to buy it. But I have to advise you to consider going for this Smok Nord X Kit because I've found something different which is also worth taking a detailed look! Now, let's jump into it!

Initial Thoughts

Comparing to the last two Nords(Nord and Nord 2), the profile design of this new Smok Nord X Kit has been changed a lot that looks like the Smok RPM series which has an alloy metal frame and colorful resin pattern panels. But it still reminds you of the previous Nord devices intensely because of its iconic giant mouthpiece on the top and the invariant ignition button on the front face. As for as it goes, I think it's the most beautiful Nord device. 

On the other hand, this Smok Nord X Kit has been assembled more solidly that adopts a rubber strap covered on both sides and the bottom. So, it has a great capacity for combating water, dust and shocking from accidental falls. But I'd like to put in another word here, Is it necessary for vape devices to feature this slew of resistance abilities? Unless you want to keep vaping when you're swimming, otherwise, I can not find any application scenarios that make those abilities work. Even the vape device you're using now doesn't have those abilities, it's still strong enough to handle these problems. What's ironic is the rubber strap on this Smok Nord X Kit is a real dust magnet and it could be cleaner without the rubber.

Battery Mod

Go on with what mentioned above, the Smok Nord X Kit is the strongest and the most beautiful Nord device so far! And it's the most powerful Nord device as well. The first generation Nord device is a 15w pod system kit and Nord 2 can deliver 40w power output. And the Nord X is in a position to provide a 60w powerful performance. Honestly, It's hard to define which category the Smok Nord X Kit belongs to because its output range is far away from the standards of pod vapes, but its small dimension tells you it is sort of a regular pod system. Anyway, the pod vape market is different from what it used to be and we're almost used to it!

Fun fact is that the battery capacity of this Smok Nord X Kit is 1500mAh which remains the same as the previous Nord 2 Kit. With the output power goes higher, the standby time of this device will be reduced faster than before. That quite confused me a lot. If a 1500mAh battery is capable of handling with 60w output, why didn't Smok make it the same to Nord 2 Kit? Or rather, if 40w is the perfect balance point between a 1500mAh battery and standby time, why did Smok make the output higher to 60w? That's what I said from the beginning -  Smok is good at upgrading their products! And the answer may be a little realistic, they've made a new coil!!!

Leave aside the battery and output, the Smok Nord X Kit has a 'new' screen display and two adjustment buttons. The actual screen size is the same as the previous Nord 2, but it has a better brightness which you can see it in the comparison part. The two adjustment buttons will simplify the operations way better and faster than before. On the Nord 2 Kit, you have only one integrated button that combined activation and power adjustment together which means you can only adjust the figures step by step by one direction. If you have missed the perfect wattage you like, you have to make another round of adjustments. With two individual buttons, it'll be easy to let you reach your favorite power.

Pod Cartridge & Coils

As always, there're two pod cartridges and two coils included in the packaging. The RPM pod cartridge is compatible with all RPM coils which can let you freely switch to this device with the RPM coils you've purchased. And the RPM 2 pod cartridge can only accept RPM 2 mesh coil. 

As you can see from the pictures above, the two pods are identical in dimension and juice capacity(6ml), but they have different holes in diameter in the mouthpiece section whereby it aims to deliver different vaping scenarios like loose DL and restrictive DL. And the new RPM 2 coil has a much lower 0.16ohm resistance and much larger heating area to withstand much higher power like 50w. So that quite makes sense because we don't want to waste the talent of this new coil. In addition, the current RPM coils are not able to offer great enough flavor so far. What's important is all of us don't want to use old RPM coils to dwell around 30-40w. We truly want more vapor productions and more flavorful steam. And Smok did this for us!

The BIG Improvements

Here is the biggest improvement that exists on the Smok Nord X Kit. It has a new airflow layout! The actual slots have not been changed at all, but it has a parallel layout with the coil which means the airflow will travel more straightforward and faster to get into the coil and provide even and ample airflow distribution for better atomization! It's a simple adjustment, but it makes a great difference in the actual vaping experience. Comparing to the previous Nord 2 and the new Smok RPM 2 Kit, you can hardly find there's resistance that exists when you inhale. In another word, the airflow just goes smoother and more enjoyable than before! And the new RPM 2 coil also deserves some praise because it takes an active role in flavor delivery! Without any exaggeration, it's my favorite Smok vape this year!

As far as the USB-C port's concerned, it could be a common configuration in the current vape market. But it's glad to see Smok do so! There's one thing I've been talking about for a long time that adding a USB-C port won't cost too much in actual manufacturing and more and more factories are always active in keeping their pace. But Smok should be an exception to this. Do you remember the Smok Scar P3 and Smok Scar P5 which were released a few months ago? The Smok Scar P3 Kit is a built-in battery device and has a USB-C port, and the Smok Scar P5 Kit is powered by an external 18650 battery and has a micro USB port! Up to here, I want to change my words, Smok is good at upgrading their products and is skilled in controlling cost to the extreme!

The Verdict

I almost forget one thing to say. Smok has brought the juice window back to the Smok Nord X Kit in another way! Because the pod cartridge has become bigger and taller, thus, it has a so-called juice window to help you to check the juice remaining inside which is pretty great! On the other hand, the pod cartridge features a dual locking mechanism that combined magnetic connection and clip-in connection together! I can't tell why Smok did this, but the actual circumstance is the pod is in an impressively tight place and it's harder to lose it!

The entire improvements on the Smok Nord X Kit should be the new RPM2 coil and the new airflow design. Benefit from this new airflow layout, this kit sends totally different vaping experience from any other RPM devices. I've been using this Nord X Kit for almost one week and keep running the RPM 2 coil at 50w, the flavor and whole steam performance really impress me a lot! The airflow just goes extremely smooth and the flavor is undoubtedly top-notch which I'm pretty satisfied with! I have to confess these two attributes take the Smok Nord X Kit to a higher place. Honestly, comparing to the Novo X Kit, there're some adjustments and improvements that Smok has made indeed to perfect the Nord X Kit. Even it's called Smok Nord X Kit, it feels totally different from other Nord devices. Technically, it's a standard 'Pod Mod Kit'. 

So you must want to know the differences between the new Nord X and the previous Nord 2. Now, let's do it!

What's the Difference Between Smok Nord X and Smok Nord 2???

Dimension Difference:

First of all, the Smok Nord X Kit is the biggest one in this series and adopts a dissimilar profiled design. From my perspective, it's the most beautiful Nord device. There's one thing I still don't get it is that its battery capacity remains the same as the Nord 2 Kit(1500mAh), but it's much bigger than the former in three dimensions. Anyway, it's still a portable device.

Performance Difference:

Even they share the same battery type, they have different power configurations. The Smok Nord 2 Kit is a 40w pod system kit. And the Smok Nord X Kit is able to offer a maximum output of 60w. Furthermore, the actual operations also have been changed a bit! On the Nord 2, the wattage figure can be adjusted via a single one button on the front face, three presses to activate the adjustment feature and the figure will start to flash, then you have to press the button one by one or long-press to switch it up by one direction from 1w to 40w. If you have missed the perfect number, you need to adjust one more time! On the contrary, Smok Nord X Kit is outfitted with traditional adjustment buttons that simply the redundant operations like a regular box mod device. 

Moreover, the screen display on the Smok Nord X Kit is much brighter than Smok Nord 2 Kit that you can easily differentiate from the picture above. And finally, the X version has a USB-C port! But there's still one thing that puzzles me a lot is the charging configuration on Nord 2 kit is 5V/2A(Max), the Nord X Kit is 5V/1.2A(Max). 

The most significant difference between them is the airflow design which I've been talking about in this whole review. Due to different layouts between the coil and slots, the actual airflow delivery is transparently distinctive. In one word, the Smok Nord X Kit has a better airflow configuration.

Pod & Coil Difference:

Due to different airflow layouts, the pod cartridges on these two kits are also different in shape and capacity! The previous Nord 2 has a capacity of 4.5ml and the Nord X Kit can house 6.0ml of e-liquid. 

Based on a different date of birth, these two kits are compatible with different replacement coils! The previous Nord 2 has two pod cartridges that can use Nord coils and RPM coils which give plenty of choices in flavor delivery. On the other hand, the Smok Nord X Kit also has two pod cartridges that are compatible with RPM coils and RPM 2 coils respectively. But there's one imperfection is there's only one RPM 2 coil is available now! But it'll be more in the future!

If I'm not mistaken, the original Smok Novo Pod was released in the first half of 2018 which was an extremely easy-to-use pod system device up to that time! I don't know if you had used it or not, the true story about that kit is that it quite caused something extremely phenomenal which everyone in Reddit and Quora kept talking about it. Undeniably, Smok Novo Pod is a great pod device and it also gained a tremendous amount of reputation and praise. And at least for that time, Smok did something innovative and created great products. But, it seems like this kind of exploration just stopped by then!

There's something I don't want to talk about further. But I still want to mention it a little that the only thing that drives you forward is non-stopping development rather than sticking around with the past honor! 

Let's go straight to the review and find something you might be interested in and something I can not stand!

Initial Thoughts

I'm supposed to compare this Smok Novo X Kit with the previous Smok Novo 2 Pod to let you have a basic idea of the exact differences between them. But I just can't remember where it is. And I will put a quick comparison between the Novo X and Nord 2 down below! If you want to know it right now, please scroll down a little bit!

Frankly, this Novo X gave me a strong taste of the Smok Novo Series with its tiny size and representative cobra pattern appearance. If you have the original Novo or are a user of Novo 2, you must have caught that as well. To be honest, it could be the simplest design in the current vape market. But it's also important for Smok to maintain the consistency of the Novo traditions. Sometimes, no design is the best design. 

The biggest adjustment that exists on this Smok Novo X Kit is it has a teeny-tiny screen display and an extremely minor button that sets the previous Novo 2 apart. Honestly, these two differences are the only thing that could make you differentiate them! 

The Battery Module

Due to the new screen configuration, the dimension of the Smok Novo X Kit is a little bigger than the previous Novo 2 by 4mm in height, 2mm in width, and 2mm in thickness. The difference in size is easy to tell, but it's not a big deal whatsoever. After all, the entire size is still portable and it's still easy for you to conceal it in your pocket. On the other hand, it has a fire button now which allows you to adjust output wattage from 1w to 25w. But the actual range of adjustment is still limited regarding the best wattage of the pod cartridge is limited as well. 

The battery capacity remains in 800mAh and that's the reason why its maximum output is the same as the Novo 2. As far as the battery module's concerned, there're no massive improvements. The screen display or the fire button won't give you something different on the whole experience. Comparing to the previous two Novos, the output will be automatically set up to the best level without a hand setting. Now, you need to press the button one by one to switch up the power to the recommended wattage level. The truth is the Novo X has become more complicated than before. 

I don't think a screen display is necessary for a pod system kit. Because the pod system kit is supposed to be simple and straight. Unlike the higher power box mod devices or the medium pod mod devices on the market, it's probably not the right way for the pod devices. 

The airflow slots are also the same as the previous Novo 2 that there're two cutouts on the top of the battery module which allow the airflow travels through and get into the pod cartridge from the bottom. And there's one thing I have found which is different from the others is the sensor hole is replaced by a contact that has dual openings rather than a traditional bare hole. I'm guessing this solution aims to prevent accidental firings when the device has been put into the pocket. Even I've never come across this kind of situation, it's still great that Smok has adjusted.

Good traditions should be inherited and outdated traditions should be changed. As a matter of fact, it's not a big deal that a pod system kit has a traditional Micro-USB port. After all, pod devices have small batteries that can be fully real quick. But referring to the price point of the Smok Novo X Kit, I think it could make more sense if has a USB-C port. 

The Pod Cartridge

Unconventionally, there're two same pod cartridges included in the packaging, DC 0.8ohm MTL pod. It's a new pod cartridge that is only compatible with Novo X Kit. If you want to know if it's possible to use Novo pod cartridge or Novo 2 pod cartridge on this Novo X, the answer is NO! I can tell that Smok is trying to promote this new cartridge because it did a pretty great job in flavor delivery as far as I'm concerned. To some extent, I have no issues with this new cartridge because its whole structure is completely inherited from the former which has a great capacity to fully utilize the e-liquid that you squeezed inside. From the perspective of the flavor performance, it's a great pod!

The recommended wattage of this 0.8ohm pod cartridge is 14w - 28w. From the aspect of my personal experience, 14w-18w would be a perfect power range for this pod in conjunction with its fixed airflow. The fun fact is the whole performance has no big difference when I switched up to 22w. 

The pod is undetectable and all you can do is do the refilling and throw it away when the flavor is not good enough. The DC 0.8ohm MTL pod is capable of housing 2ml of e-liquid. There's no need to instruct the pod too much because there's nothing new to talk about! I will talk about the flavor performance in detail below.

Quick Comparison

The Smok Novo X Kit and Smok Nord 2 Kit are both the latest device in their series. Coincidentally, they both have screen display and power adjustment configuration. But I' like to say Nord 2 is a truly new product because its maximum output has reached 40 watts which the original Nord Pod is a 15w pod device. Without a doubt, Novo X has something new indeed but I just think it's not enough though! 

The Verdict

Let's just go straight into the conclusion because there's nothing more I can find to talk about!

First of all, this pod, Smok Novo X Kit, is a 100% true pod system kit. Leave aside the power adjustment feature, it gives a decent pod vape experience. The airflow is smooth and rich and delivers an impressive MTL draw which I'm pretty satisfied with. The flavor performance is fairly great and feels similar to the Uwell Caliburn Pod. I've been using the device for three days and it didn't fail me at all. There's no leakage issue and no dry burn hit situation. Frankly, it's a mediocre device.

As a matter of fact, the screen display and the fire button don't give me anything different! The device itself has no automatic power matching function which means you have to choose the power when you use it for the first time. After then, there's no need to make any adjustments because the figure won't change when you put back the pod cartridge after you refill it.
