Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit is the fourth mod pod kit released by Voopoo. Since the first pod mod kit, Smok RPM40 Kit, was released several months ago, we have seen pretty many of the same types of products that emerged on the market by far. Voopoo Vinci Kit, Voopoo Vinci R Kit, Voopoo Vinci X Kit, Geekvape Aegis Boost Kit, etc.
Frankly, I'm glad to see some innovative vape devices springing up. After all, consumers are always the ones who get the most benefit. On the other hand, the current vape market is in the position of its very own crossroads. We don't know what will happen to what we love. But as long as there're new products, it'll get more and more vibrant!
Initial Thoughts
Frankly speaking, I did not expect that Voopoo would launch this device. Especially they have perfected their own mod pod kits by increasing the max output of the Voopoo Vinci X Kit to 70 watts. But this new Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit is still a 40w output device. That quite puzzles me a lot.
But that quite makes sense if you are that kind of person who digs cuboid-shaped vape devices like Smok Fetch Mini Kit. After all, the exact form factors between the Voopoo Navi and Voopoo Vinci series are fairly different. And you will have more options.
Back to the Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit, it inherits the fabulous design gene of Voopoo Drag series devices. Zinc alloy chassis with a resin panel decorated on the front side is still favored by the majority of consumers till now. It's no exaggeration to say this kind of design concept won't be outdated even in 2020.
The Battery Mod
Just like what I said above, this kind of profile design could always take the fancy of consumers. Personally, I love it, without a doubt!

The Functionality
Except for the different shape design, the actual functionalities of this Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit is exactly the same as Voopoo Vinci Kit. For those people who have no idea of Voopoo Vinci devices. Let me introduce the actual functions below.
Three clicks on the fire button to circle through three work modes(Auto draw mode, manual mode, and mixed-mode(auto and manual)). Furthermore, press the fire button four times continuously to enter RBA mode.
Actually, the RBA mode a newly designed function. As the name says, it's specially designed for Vinci RBA coil base. But you can also use your OCC coil under this mode. It is hoped that Voopoo manufacturers can provide upgrade services for Voopoo Vinci series devices so that more people can use this practical feature.
There's always a problem that annoys me when using Voopoo Vinci series device, which I think some of you have come across as well. The OCC coil you use on all Voopoo Vinci devices can only work in suggested wattage range like 32-40sw, 20-28 w, etc. Due to the GENE.AI chip inside, you're not allowed to switch up to higher wattage as you like, even we all know the coil we ran can withstand much higher output.
While when it's under RBA mode, you can feel free to change the wattage. There'll be no max power information you will get, as long as you like higher wattage and the coil you installed works safely, that's enough!
Except for the new RBA mode, the rest of the functions remains the same as the previous Voopoo Vinci device. Press the fire button and 'down' button to clear the puff counter; Press the fire button and 'up' button to lock the adjustment options, but you can still do vape; Click the 'up' and 'down' button together to enter the puff recorder to check out your vaping habits.
The Pod Cartridge
Due to the coil is replaceable, there's only one pod cartridge included in the package. Nevertheless, it's fairly enough because of the great build quality of the pod.
The coil installed slot and the filling port both laid on the bottom. And the magnetic connection is as good as Voopoo Vinci devices.
There're two OCC coils included, 0.45ohm mesh coil (PnP-VM3) and 0.6ohm mesh coil(PnP-VM4). And you can run these two coils in different suggested wattage. As I've told above, you can run these coils in any wattage you prefer as long as it's under RBA mode. But first thing first, please make sure that it's safe!
Last but not least, this pod on Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit is compatible with all PnP OCC coils from Voopoo. In other words, no matter which PnP coil you get, you can directly use it on this Voopoo Navi Kit without worrying about compatibility issues. Without exception, you can also run Vinci RBA base on this kit.
The Airflow
I don't know how do you guys think the way to adjust the airflow on Voopoo Vinci devices by rotating the pod cartridge 180 degrees. Frankly, you can restrict the airflow in that way. But it also limits the possibilities for more operations. It seems that Voopoo manufacturer has listened to the consumers' feedback, so they did make a change on the Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit.
There's a total of three air inlets on the Voopoo Navi Kit. Two apparent air holes and one inner air inlets. The two air holes in the gap between the pod and the battery module are the main way to let air flow through. And the inner air inlet is more likely to replenish as much air as possible.
You can adjust the airflow by pushing that airflow valve up and down to regulate its abundance. And the inner air inlet can also improve the sensitivity of the airflow sensor to prevent the coil from the dry burn.
The Verdict
So it's time to wrap it up. As always, I have something to complain about.
I don't call it the cons of this Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit because I think some consumers out there may not think the same as me. All in all, it's my subjective cons.
First thing first, it's a quite small device, as you can see from the picture above. Honestly, I really appreciate that Voopoo could insert an internal 1500mAh battery into such a teeny tiny module. Although the battery capacity of Smok Fetch Mini Kit is only 1200mAh, it features a much bigger size. But I just want to see this Voopoo Navi Kit could be much bigger. For the sake of better grip feeling, the tough square corners of the Voopoo Navi Kit will not make you feel as comfortable as Voopoo Vinci devices.
The second and last cons is the USB port. We all know which is better between USB and USB-C ports. It's already 2020, and I don't think it's hard for a $49.99 device to use a simple USB-C port.
And I also want to tell you guys how good that airflow adjustment valve is. I have been using this Voopoo Navi Mod Pod Kit for almost one week, that valve just works perfectly. I'm a loose DL person, so I just keep the valve fully open and the airflow is fairly smooth and rich. And if you keep it fully close, you just get a greatly restricted DL vaping. Without any doubt, both ways provide a great flavor as the Voopoo Vinci devices.
And the same functionalities as Voopoo Vinci devices are also awesome to use. It'll not cost you extra time to get used to it.
