Canadian War on Electronic Cigarettes

Last year, Dr. Margaret Chan, the leader of the World Health Organization (WHO), issued a statement on e-cigarettes and how they should be banned and restricted. Almost immediately, 53 world-renowned experts on the effects of tobacco, smoking, and addiction responded to WHO with a letter, which you can download here (PDF). In brief, they urged WHO to retract their statement letter, and throw more science at e-cigarettes, the process and results, before jumping to conclusions. They argued that, as a cessation device, e-cigarettes are on their own plateau level compared to all other available methods, devices, and drugs.
