Do you know about dripping?
What is Dripping? You may have heard a new vaping buzzword around—dripping. It has made its way into the vaping vernacular so, here’s some background on the craze. If you have been using vapes for an extended period, you have probably tried all different flavors, types of vape pens, and nicotine strengths. You are familiar with how a vape should work and how to care for your pen. You may have also tried to experiment with practices like dripping. If you are new to vaping, a regular e-cig (or vape) heats the liquid and turns it into vapor, which a user inhales and then exhales in a large puffy vape cloud; but dripping (also referred to as ‘Direct Dripping’ or ‘Dry Smoking’) alters that process. According to the New York Times, Dripping “refers to the practice of applying nicotine liquid directly to the heated coils of an e-cigarette or other vaporizers to produce thick clouds of nicotine vapor.” This generates higher heating coil temperatures than conventional use of e-cigarettes and gives the vape user a stronger sensation (or hit) in the throat. This allegedly makes flavors taste better, according to a study, published in the Journal of Pediatrics. According to CNN, “The normal process of vaping relies on an e-cig’s reservoir and wick, both of which automatically feed liquid to the heating coil within the device, minus any effort or intervention on the part of the user.” The explanation continues to include, “Dripping is a more labor-intensive method of vaping in which the user manually applies a few drops of liquid directly to the exposed heating coil of the e-cig every so many puff.” The issue is that tampering with a device is never a good idea. Be sure to vape safely. AVE40 does not recommend disassembling and tinkering with your ecigs and vape pens. You should follow manufacturers instructions for use. And as always, vaping and ecig use is meant for adults only. What are your thoughts on dripping?
